Terms and Conditions (T&C)
1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to the sale of the book “We and the West (and the World)” by Stefan J. Heeb – XGD (hereinafter “the Publisher”), based in Switzerland.
2. Ordering Process
By submitting the order form, you make a binding purchase offer. The contract is formed only once we have received your payment (Art. 1 Swiss Code of Obligations, OR).
3. Payment
Payment is exclusively by bank transfer to the provided Swiss IBAN. Shipping occurs after payment is received (within 1–3 working days).
4. Delivery
Delivery within Switzerland typically takes 3–5 working days; international delivery takes 7–14 working days.
Shipping costs are not included in the book price and are calculated as a flat rate during the ordering process. The Publisher covers part of the actual shipping costs – you pay only a reduced portion:
- Switzerland: CHF 8.50
- EU: CHF 18.00
- All other countries: CHF 28.00
These flat rates apply regardless of the number of copies ordered. For larger orders, we reserve the right to contact you before shipping.
5. Right of Withdrawal
For physical books, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt of the goods (Art. 40 Swiss Consumer Protection Act, KSchG). For damaged books, please contact us within 7 days.
6. Liability
The Publisher is not liable for delivery delays caused by third parties (e.g., Swiss Post). Liability for intent or gross negligence remains reserved (Art. 100 OR).
7. Jurisdiction
Place of performance and jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland (Art. 21 Swiss Civil Procedure Code, ZPO).
